Google Nexus S Making Its Way to AT&T?

Google’s Nexus S is one of the hottest devices of this current generation and just so happens to be the first device to bring Android ‘Gingerbread‘
2.3 to market. However, as of now, the only version of Nexus S on the
market is compatible with T-Mobile. This puts a dent in the device’s
overall potential as, quite obviously, those on carriers like Sprint and
Verizon cannot use the device.
Luckily, for those on AT&T, rumors have just surfaced that say
Google and Samsung may be releasing an AT&T compatible version of
the Nexus S. These rumors stem from a Bluetooth SIG listing that shows a
device with the model number GT I9020A. The reason we believe this is
an AT&T compatible Nexus S is because the T-Mobile version’s model
number is the GT-I9020T. Add to this the fact that Canadian carrier
Mobilicity is set to pick up the Nexus S who run on the same 3G bands as
AT&T and you can see the authenticity of this rumor.
Of course, don’t go throwing out your iPhone just yet as you’re going
to have to wait until Google, Nexus or AT&T come forth to
officially announce this.
We’ll keep you posted.
